dumbbell raise
dumbbell raise is a common strength training exercise. Below are form tips, steps, and demos.
Steps
Step 1. Stand tall with a dumbbell in each hand in front of your thighs, palms facing in, feet about hip-width apart.
Step 2. Set the shoulders down, brace your midsection, soften the knees, and keep the chest lifted without leaning back.
Step 3. Drive the elbows up and out so the dumbbells slide up the front of the torso to near shoulder height or lower-chest level.
Step 4. Pause briefly without shrugging, then lower slowly along the same path and reset for the next rep.
