smith crunch is a common strength training exercise. Below are form tips, steps, and demos.
Steps
Step 1. Place a flat bench in the middle of the smith machine.
Step 2. Set the bar height so that when you lie on the bench, the bar sits directly over your chest and upper abs.
Step 3. Lie on the bench with your feet raised on it, grip the bar, and unlock the safety catches.
Step 4. Brace your abs and crunch up explosively, driving the bar to the top along the rails.
Step 5. Pause briefly at the top, then lower the bar back to the starting position with control.
